The question on everyones lips is: Is it really better?

Well to begin with this type of farming differs from convential farming in the methods used to grow crops. Where traditional farmers apply chemical fertilizers to the soil to grow their crops, organic farmers feed and build soil with natural fertilizer. Traditional farmers use insecticides to get rid of insects and disease, while organic farmers use natural methods such as insect predators and barriers for this purpose. Traditional farmers control weed growth by applying synthetic herbicides, but organic farmers use crop rotation, tillage, hand weeding, cover crops and mulches to control weeds.

The result is that conventionally grown food is often tainted with chemical residues, which can be harmful to humans. There is debate over whether dietary exposure to pesticides at levels typically found on food is dangerous, but experts say that consumers should use caution. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers 60 percent of herbicides, 90 percent of fungicides and 30 percent of insecticides to be carcinogenic. Thats enough reason to stop any heart beating! We were thrilled to be able to connect with lovely local producers who were the source of all our food! Thanks to the loveable Costa Georgiadis we were not only informed but also entertained! He reminded us all again that it's not about how perfect a mass produced altered vegetable or fruit looks but whatever nature presents to us be it big / small / odd shaped, but moreover natural and beautiful!

This 'Real Food' feast wonderfully brought together the people and produce from local farms and Melbourne backyards to inspire us all. The next step is to help celebrate and inspire more of these local farmers and backyard growers by supporting and promoting them to every consumer out there! We can easily send a shout out to all with the help of our 'I love Certified Naturally Grown Australia' logo! It was developed exactly with this purpose in mind and to ultimately help everyone make a clearer, healthier choice about their food and it's origin.

The Key To Making A Clearer Choice Today!

We are proud to launch I Love Certified Organic Australia, an online community licensing the use of the Trade Marks "I Love Certified Organic Australia" and " I Love Certified Naturally Grown" for products which have been certified. Therefor we created a stiking logo, that is bold and provides an easily identifiable form of visual recognition that is a powerful advertising and marketing tool for all the true Organic / Naturally Grown products out there.

It is important for every consumer to know exactly the type of products they are purchasing, and the makeup of the food they eat.

We believe in making it very easy, simple and clear for consumers to quickly identify Certified products, and also identify producers who support the Organic system. As well as ulitmately empowering the producer to display this through much more affordable means.
